Chatham & 100 Years in the Cape Cod Baseball League

Atwood Museum Mural Barn - 347 Stage Harbor Rd

Join Cape Cod Baseball League historian Mike Richard to learn about the early history of baseball on Cape Cod dating back to the 1800s, and the beginning of the Cape League in 1923 (of which Chatham was among the four original teams). Tickets by reservation. Admission $10 for non members/Free for CHS members.

Chatham Railroad Museum
Opening Day

We are located in the beautifully restored 1887 railroad depot that served Chatham residents and visitors for nearly fifty years. Children of all ages are welcome to explore the ticket office, exhibits and our 1910 restored wood caboose. Open 10-4 Tues - Sat until Labor Day (except July 4)

Marcellus Eldredge: Catalyst for the Chatham We Know

Join Eldredge Library director Amy Andreasson and Chatham Railroad Museum co-director Gil Sparks to explore the life and legacy of one of Chatham’s most prosperous and benevolent native sons, Marcellus Eldredge (1838-1898), whose local investment and philanthropy catalyzed the town’s transformation during the late 1800’s from fishing village to summer resort.

Chatham Railroad Museum - 153 Depot St

In addition to its regular exhibits the Museum will run an O Gauge model railroad with multiple trains continuously. Come enjoy the trains, tour our caboose and learn about the Chatham Railroad’s vital role in Chatham’s history.
