Marconi-RCA Wireless Museum

Visit this National Register Historic site to explore radio pioneer Guglielmo Marconi’s Cape Cod legacy, RCA’s Chatham Radio/WCC (“Largest US coastal station in the marine service”) and it’s role in 20th Century history, including as the Navy’s Station C which intercepted secret U-Boat messages during WWII. The Dig & Caleb Nickerson House

Gary Nickerson joins us to share his work on the dig and arranging of the exhibit of artifacts in the Caleb Nickerson Homestead, and how the living history museum has helped him to “dig” deeper into his roots.

Chatham & 100 Years in the
Cape Cod Baseball League

Join Cape Cod Baseball League historian Mike Richard to learn about the early history of baseball on Cape Cod dating back to the 1800s, and the beginning of the Cape League in 1923 (of which Chatham was among the four original teams). Tickets by reservation. Admission $10 for non members/Free for CHS members.

Chatham Railroad Museum
Opening Day

Location: 153 Depot St
We are located in the beautifully restored 1887 railroad depot that served Chatham residents and visitors for nearly fifty years. Children of all ages are welcome to explore the ticket office, exhibits and our 1910 restored wood caboose. Open 10-4 Tues - Sat until Labor Day (except July 4)

Caleb Nickerson House

Historic Caleb Nickerson Homestead open for the season: Guided tours of the ca. 1829 homestead offered Wednesdays through Oct. 14. All ages welcome; donations are accepted. Classes in floral arranging and the fiber arts offered fall 2026. Nickerson Genealogy Center open Wednesdays from 9 am to 1 pm. year-round for genealogical consultations.

The 3-5-0 Girls - Women's Military History in Chatham

Location: Marconi/RCA Wireless Museum

350,000 women served in WWII. Media at the time called them "girls" as an insult. They took ownership of it instead. Come hear about their story and the WAVES and SPARS who served on Cape Cod and at Station C in Chatham.

The Caleb Nickerson Homestead and Colonial gardens will be open for tours with a docent. Interpreters will be on hand to speak about the archaeological excavation of William and Anne Nickerson's ca. 1664 homestead and the dig artifacts; the ongoing reconstruction of the antique barn; and the ca. 1829 full Cape. In the morning a gardener will plant a traditional Three Sisters garden; in the afternoon a fiber artist will demonstrate carding and spinning.

Catalyst for the Chatham We Know

Join Eldredge Library director Amy Andreasson and Chatham Railroad Museum co-director Gil Sparks to explore the life and legacy of one of Chatham’s most prosperous and benevolent native sons, Marcellus Eldredge (1838-1898), whose local investment and philanthropy catalyzed the town’s transformation during the late 1800’s from fishing village to summer resort.

Model Trains Running

In addition to its regular exhibits the Museum will run an O Gauge model railroad with multiple trains continuously. Come enjoy the trains, tour our caboose and learn about the Chatham Railroad’s vital role in Chatham’s history.
